Michael and Krista McLean at LAWS in Smiths Falls, Lanark County’s Animal Shelter, with some of the dogs that are looking to be adopted into their new forever home in Eastern Ontario. These dogs need to find new owners to walk them, feed them and love them and rescue them from the shelter. Loved your show and the idea of spresding the word about adoptable dogs is absolutely fantastic. We usually go to Florida for the winter and last year we had a beautiful and lovible little dog follow us during a morning bike ride. He followed us for miles when we finally decided we should return the same way and try and find his owners. Unfortunately we were unsuccessful in our attempt. The next day we took him to the animal shelter and told them the story. We were told after enquiring that he would be kenneled for at least a week while they tried to locate the owners. We couldn’t leave there knowing he would be caged for a week so we offered to board him free of charge for the week. There was no luck in finding the owners and so we adooped Chico the following week. He a beautiful, little, well behaved Chahuahua mix about 1 and 1/2 years old. after further investigation we believe he is probably Manchester Terrier. We love him and were so happy with the way we and Chico were treated taht we intend to volunteer at the shelter upon our return to Florida.
